Building Workflows
A guide on how to create a workflow-as-code with customizable actions in a few minutes

Add a Source

  1. 1.
    Go to the Connections section
  2. 2.
    Click + New
  3. 3.
    Select a platform that is a Source type
  4. 4.
    Add your credentials
  5. 5.
    Click Connect
  6. 6.
    Subscribe to your events
  7. 7.
    Click Subscribe

Create a Workflow

  1. 1.
    Go to the Workflow section
  2. 2.
    Click + New
  3. 3.
    Name your Workflow

Select a trigger Event

Select the event you'd like to use to trigger your Workflow

    Click the search bar
  2. 2.
    Select a connected source
  3. 3.
    Select the namespace
  4. 4.
    Select the event

Add your Actions

Creating robust workflows-as-code in Buildable is a breeze.
  1. 1.
    Go to the Actions tab
  2. 2.
    Click the + New action button
  3. 3.
    Select an action from the catalog

Customize your Actions

Simply define the input parameters (what the action needs to run) in the input section and set the output (what the action will do) in the run section.

    Open the action you'd like to customize
  2. 2.
    Set the input parameters for the function
  3. 3.
    Write or adjust the code in the run function
  4. 4.
    Save your changes (CMD/CTL + S)!
The input and output architecture makes each action 100% modular, which means you can easily reorder actions by simply dragging and dropping

Execute your Workflow

You can click the Run button to simulate a trigger or you can wait until the source event is collected organically to trigger the Workflow.
