Managing Workflows


Folders help you organize your Workflows into useful categories or chunks of work. Create as many folders as you need and drag Workflows into folders depending on your style.

Environment Variables

Environment Variables are multi-environment keys that are accessible across Buildable. To use your environment variables in code, simply access them using $env. To create new variables:

    Open the Environment Variables section

    Click the + New button
  3. 3.
    Name your Key
  4. 4.
    Apply Development and Production key values
When you add a Connection, we automatically generate Environment Variables for your secure keys on your behalf to save you time.


To deploy a Workflow, simply click the Deploy button near the top of the screen. Each Workflow comes with two separate environments:
  • Development - a place to build and test Workflow logic
  • Production - a protected version of a Workflow that is view-only (i.e., immutable)
You cannot make edits directly in Production. To make changes, you need apply your changes in the Development environment and re-deploy.
To switch views of a Workflow environment, use the Environment view toggle to the left of the Deploy button.


All changes made to a Workflow are recorded and visible in an organized timeline. At any point in time, you can review a previous version of your work and revert if needed.

    Click a record to view it
  3. 3.
    Click revert to revert your Workflow to a previous version


Buildable makes it easy to debug with detailed logs of a Workflow's execution. To review your logs:

    Open the Logs section
  2. 2.
    Click a log to review its execution details
